In west Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has introduced a new scheme named Karmo Bhumi portal to help IT experts, who came back to Bengal in the wake of losing positions in the wake of COVID-19 episode.
This would assist them with getting work in the state itself. An online interface named Karmo Bhumi has been launched that will go about as a medium between the experts and IT organizations in Bengal.
The Chief Minister has introduced this scheme by tweeted on Tuesday: “for the benefit of Government of West Bengal, we launching Karmo Bhumi, web-based interface for IT experts, returned and searching for work change due to COVID-19. Associate now to IT organizations of Bengal through Karmabhumi.nltr.org. My all the best to everybody.”
In West Bengal around 700 IT and ITeS companies at Salt Lake Sector V and Rajarhat where at present around 2.5 lakh people work. The IT sector has welcomed the move of the Chief Minister as it will help in retaining the profession in the state itself and at the same time the IT professionals too will get a better opportunity to work in Bengal itself.
